Final redrafted Treatment
It begins with a boy waking up late for college, (caption
Monday is denoted here) he quickly brushes his teeth, puts on his clothes and
walks out the door. Arriving at the bus stop in a hurry, he becomes mesmerized
by the girl on the opposite bus stop and gazes into space, without realising he
has missed his bus. On the opposite side, the girl smiles politely and gets on a
bus going to college. The boy repeats this pattern for the next following four
days. Until Friday when he randomly wakes up early and arrives at the bus stop
just in time to see the girl on the opposite side, standing across her he persistently
tries to gain her attention. He writes he writes on his A4 notepad- “Dinner
tomorrow @ 5?”(Animation is shown here) – She being very vulnerable replies
back denoting “Sure, meet me @ (location not confirmed yet)”, she then departs
for her bus (both smiling back at each other). The boy feeling overly confident
and invincible sees a penny on the
ground, he stares at it curious and says (voice over): “see a penny pick it up,
all day long you’ll have good luck.” The boy feeling very fortunate picks it up
knowing this will gain him more luck, yet what he is not aware of, is that him
picking up his coin reversed his good fortune. So the next day the boy wakes up
late for his date, this follows a series of unfortunate events of him:
forgetting his keys, wallet and phone, having car splash water all over him due
to the rain and him missing his bus. Meanwhile, the girl impatiently waited for
twenty minutes, yet decided to leave as of his poor punctuality. When he
arrives near his destination, he sees a florist and buys a bunch of roses to
apologise, he then realises he is running out of time and begins to running;
whilst that his petals start to flow away, it is not until he arrives at the
location he realises. Covered in water, being late and losing the petals off of
his roses the boy searches for the girl; however she is nowhere to be found (he
goes home sad with a raining cloud on top of his head). The next following Monday,
the boy sees the girl, but she is with another guy holding hands walking off
into the distant.
