Feedback On 'Tough Luck' (Rough Copy)

Today, the entire class watched a rough cut of our short film and we received the following feedback:

  • Colour corrections make it more gradient- put in a blue effect all way through the film in order to mamake it seem more professional
  • Close up on penny also miss adviced us to write in the speech bubble  Tobias saying "Oooh A Lucky Penny"
  • Sound- correct sound add non diegetic music of birds tweeting to give it a realistic effect
  • Speech bubbles- We will include speech bubbles o show when the actors are speaking; however,  a fellow pupil did advice us how sopeech bubbles can either make or break it as it can be at a fast cutting rate, where the audience will not have the chance to view the writing when the short film is playing. So limit what needs to be said in speech bubbles.
  • Overall we had good comments of how majority of the class enjoyed the video they also liked: the range of shots from: Medium shots, close ups, long shots to OTS, Shot reverse shot, panning shots.  They also enjoyed how quirky and entertaining the video was and did understand the plot of the short film.

Editing Complete

Today majority of the videos have been exported, and we are hopefully going to export our video either Today or Tomorrow. We have encountered many problems due to filming and getting our editing done; however has slowly began finsihing. We have applied the follwoing technique:
  • Animation to create an illusion and a fantasy effect for an addtional entertainment for the audience: E.G. Speech Bubbles/ Angel and Devil and Captions
This will add a unqiue quality to our video and entices the audience

  • Sound : Non diegetic sounds of birds tweeting
